Should I learn music theory?

I like music but i do not find theory that used but it is important should I start?

Thank you comment icon I’m old school, and I don’t know what your instrument is. Or do you want to compose/arrange/conduct or orchestrate? If any of those are options then if you are thinking about making a living in the live music biz you HAVE to learn theory and sight reading. No one (including me) will hire you without it. If you’re just interested in making beats or loops at home you can probably live without it. Keith Levenson

If you like music and want to get better at it, yes learn it. It feels useless at first but it's basically the language of music. Once it clicks, you'll understand why songs sound the way they do, write better, and learn new music faster. You don't have to go deep right away start with the basics like notes, scales, and chords and build from there. Even a little theory goes a long way.
