Hi there! Not sure if this suggestion is as relevant as others, but I would suggest looking into healthcare consulting. Though this is not necessarily a patient facing role, it generally comes with livable salaries and lots of desk work. Within healthcare consulting there are many options including health policy, disease control, and work related to increasing healthcare efficiency. Somthing worth considering!

Nursing is such a compassionate, deeply rewarding, and much-needed profession, but it doesn't always have to be physically exhausting. If you want to care for patients while saving your energy, consider becoming a tele-health or triage nurse. In these roles, you perform patient assessments over video or phone calls to answer medical questions and route individuals to the right level of care. It allows you to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives directly from a clinic office, a call center, or even remotely from home.
