Seth’s Answer

Pharmacy tech skills in a retail or community pharmacy involve customer service, answering phone calls, using a computer, using a cash register, counting, labeling, following instruction and a variety of other skills too numerous to detail.

Hospital pharmacy tech skills can include all of the above as well as medication delivery, unit-based cabinet refill and review, sterile and nonsterile compounding and many other skills and tasks.

That covers 95% of pharmacy tech positions you can easily encounter; if you want to know about others, I can see what else I can tell you if you have a specific role in mind.
