Would a physical therapist be a good job for me?

I'm a sophomore in high school. Physical therapy is something I feel like I would enjoy doing. My grandma was a physical therapist and she really enjoyed helping people. That is something I would be interested in but I'm not really sure yet.

It depends on what you enjoy learning about, which classes you like in high school. The PT curriculum is heavy on the biological sciences, and human phyiology, anatomy, and movement. If you like these kinds of classes, and the content excites and interests you, then you are likely choosing the right field. See what you can find at your high school, and talk to other PTs in your community - ask them about their typical day, what they like and dislike about their jobs. Asking to shadow or volunteer at a local hospital, clinic, or nursing facility may help you make the decision.
