Nicolás’s Answer

Learning! Most jobs are a learning experience where you find many different problems you need to solve. Take each one of them as a challenge, something you have to solve and you will get a lesson as a reward. Share your achievements and what you have learned with your coworkers, and you will get the most of ach one of these challenges.

Shirley’s Answer

Making a positive impact in my job and workplace motivates me. It also helps to have a boss and co-workers who are motivational. Since you cannot always control who you work with have a good sense of your self-worth, understand and accept others who think differently than you, and do not let negative people dictate your mood. Always bring your best self to work, make an impact, learn something new, innovate, be kind, and be an encouragement to others.

Shirley recommends the following next steps:

Research and read motivational business books e.g., Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey, Start with Why by Simon Sinek.

Art’s Answer

Hi Dana,

Motivation is the most important part in any activity you are part of, you can have the knowledge or the training, but without motivation, you wont be able to take it to the maximum !.

Talking about my job, I can say that be part of the solution of really difficult scenarios where people´ services and products can be delivered on time because of the work we perform. Other times, is the fact that I share common goals with the people I work with, I like to discover and develop new talents in others and even in myself.

But what I think what I love the most is that you are free to create new solutions to existing problems, to generate any change you think is necessary and whenever you need support from others, you always get it, finally, to feel safe when giving your opinion and transform your ideas into actions.

Maybe you have heard motivation is about money, success, or even fame, but believe me, motivation appears when you love what you do, the rest is only a nice consequence.
