If welding isn’t right for you, take a step back and think about what part of it didn’t work. Was it the physical demands, the environment, the schedule, or just lack of interest? That answer can help point you toward something that does fit better.
At this stage, focus on exploring and building skills, not locking yourself into one job forever. Try different classes, entry level work, certifications, or shadowing opportunities if possible. Every experience gives you information.
Most careers are not straight lines. It’s normal to change direction, especially early on. What matters is staying curious, learning from each step, and choosing your next move based on what you’ve learned about yourself, not pressure or fear.
Dina’s Answer
If it is not for you, then try out a few other things and see what you like or what sparks your interest. If you have not tried welding and you think you won't like it, give it a try, maybe it will not be your lifes work but you will have that skill. Or if you have tried welding and did not like it, think of other things that may interest you. If I could do it all over, I would become an orthodontist and when I was young, I had never even thought of that so think outside of the box, don't put limits on yourself.
