Gene makes some great points. I have heard $2500 for import. Also Japanese cars often have great service records.

The Skyline R34 will be street-legal in the US in 2024 and cost between $50,000 and $100,000. Importing the car from Japan will cost up to $2000. Incidentally, I own a JDM Mitsubishi Delica and it's pretty easy to get used to the right-hand-drive. Another plus is that Japanese cars are VERY reliable. Should be a good investment if you can afford to buy it but it will age better if you never drive it ;)
