I was a girl Guide rather than a scout, but it gave me great exposure to things I wouldn't have had the opportunity to do. From camping and weekends away, to learning to build fires, learning sign language, to getting to know people outside of my school. I got to get involved with things beyond the school curriculum and if you have the opportunity I would definitely do it again
