I am a former Professional American Football player. I like watching badminton on tv for the championships. There's not a lot of badminton matches here in the USA that I could see in person.
But, I am sure that there are some good badminton leagues with some good players.
If you really want to play badminton at a high level of performance, then you will have to train not only the physical things about badminton(stance, racket grip, reflexes, etc). You will also have to learn to control your mental self(discipline, self-control, self awareness, and visualization). You can not lose focus and concentration. You will also learn how to control your emotions under high pressure and adversity.
Remember, sports is not just played on the physical level. You MUST train your mind like you train your muscles.
