What excites you? What contribution do you feel could make a difference to others? It always helps to take the time to explore what makes you happy, what piques your interest, what possibilities you can explore to make a difference outside of yourself.

Hi Leslie! Thinking about your college options can be something that can be a bit challenging. However, I know you can handle this, just like so many other students in college. At most institutions of Higher Education, you will discover that this is a common issue with many students, being undecided. The great thing is that your school will have academic advisors, faculty, career centers and student activities staff to assist you to discover the right program. During your first year of school, you will take core classes (English, Social Sciences, Humanities, Math, etc.) that will build up your academic foundation and prepare you for your selected major. Best of luck and I know you can do this!

Sherry’s Answer

Stay focused on your passion. Ask yourself, "what is it that I really enjoy doing or what would I like to do and what type of positive footprints can I place in the world." This could make your choice a little easier.

Nitasha’s Answer

Not knowing what you want to do for the rest of your life doesn't have to be overwhelming, but instead it can be fun! Take some time to volunteer; get yourself into different activities with different types of people. Volunteer at your nearest shelter (homeless, pets, just for women and children, etc.). Volunteer at a major event in your area that you can help plan. If you need money while you're doing all of these activities, get a part-time job working in a variety of different areas. You are not only building your resume up, but you're also getting experience and figuring out what you do and don't like. Remember, even if you didn't like the activity, you still learned something about yourself and can go in a different direction when searching for what it is you truly want to do. Albeit switching career choices might be expensive or take some extra training, you can make a switch. Try not to put pressure on yourself to find the "perfect" job right away and think that you have to stay in that job for the rest of your life.
