Hi Jennifer,

Drew and Chad are definitely right. There are lots of scholarships available and as Chad mentioned fastweb is great. If your school has a college/career center stop by there and they may be able to provide a list of local scholarship for you.

Many schools will also provide scholarships as past of the award package when you are accepted. Some of the scholarships are need based and some are merit based. Don't be afraid to apply to private schools that may seem pricey as they may be able to offer larger scholarships than private schools.

Chad’s Answer

I would suggest a couple of things. First, do not rule out attending community college for two years and then transferring to a larger school. This will save you two years of tuition, and you would still earn a degree from the college of your choosing.

Additionally, as Drew mentioned there are quite a few opportunities for scholarships or financial aid. In fact, check out the website www.fastweb.com. My wife used to work there, and the mission of the organization is to match students with scholarships.
