When giving a review, what rating method do you most prefer (i.e. stars, thumbs, letter grade, out of 10, out of 5, etc.)?

I ask because I would like to know how to better communicate the overall performance of a product to my audience. #journalism #literature-reviews

I like a scale out of 10, because a more fine granularity speaks more clearly to me. Additionally I wouldn't mind a recommendation, like "Buy, don't buy, rent only" even though a rating might be low.

Hi Christopher, there's also "Would you recommend to a friend?" Yes/No, then display % of each answer.
