Hi Tawsif,
I hope all is well. Since you will be moving in two years, have you researched if the hotel you work at now has any sites in the U.S.? That would be something to consider because if so, you might want to request a Letter of Recommendation from your Supervisor in Bangladesh or even a possible transfer. If not, maybe switching to another hotel company that does might be the next step to consider.
Academic wise, a degree or certification in hospitality and tourism would be a wise choice to bring with you to the states. Aside from that, if not possible to transfer to a hotel company that has access in the U.S., at the time of moving I would request at least two letters of recommendation as a source of support when finding a job.
Good luck!

Research Hotel Company to see if it has sites in the U.S.
Consider a degree / certification in Hospitality & Tourism.

Close to the time you are going to move get online and get your ANSI accredited food handlers certification specifying the state you will be in. That is if you are a Food and Beverage person. TB tests and other will need to be upon arrival. Once again if you are in Food and Beverage which is what I am familiar with.
Otherwise the general concept of studying careers with ROI in mind as given by earlier respondent is an excellent one. If you have talent or acumen to perform in one of the high demand jobs in USA (Engineering, et al) you are setting yourself up for high level of abundance and financial security long term if you manage rightly.
I will tell you from experience, if you arrive stateside without coming on an employment move there are many tasks to perform and many of the most critical require address proofs which are physical mail in your name, typed from a company. Delay in obtaining these means delay in getting settled. So if you have an address which you will reside before you leave Bangladesh, have some mail sent to you from any business that makes sense!
Good luck and blessings.

Hi Tawsif
Firstly,I would like to know why you want to go to USA. There are many five star hotel in Asia, for example, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, etc.
And which department you are working in, F&B? Sale & Marketing? Front desk? Or Housekeeping?
I also want to know what strength you have, but it does not matter, you still have time to prepare.
Since you are working in a five star hotel, is it a big band hotel ? Or you can try to apply internal position in US.
I also can give you some advices, I am planning to move to Japan, I can share my preparation. Firstly, learning their local culture, because it affects deeper than the language. Secondly, money support, if you cannot find job, you still have money to support your daily life. Finally, did you think about if you cannot go to US, what your next step is.
Good Luck

I would advise gaining knowledge in either computer technology, engineering or accounting. Both are in demand, and the study of numbers is the same in all languages. Prepare yourself to attain white collar work. You can bring those skills with you and apply them to employment quickly. Accounting is essential to function in business, and you could go on to become a CPA, where there are always job openings. Computer technology will only work if you grasp the comcepts well, but can lead to a successful career in the United States. Finally, America has a shortage of welll trained engineers and they are paid well. I forced my son to be an engineer, he wanted to be a lawyer like I am, but he was making 86,000.00 right out of college and four years later makes 120,000 and works 4 days a week.
