To become a toxicologist, what does residency look like?

I guess what i’m asking is, is all residency the same?

https://www.acmt.net/becoming-a-med-tox.html outlines that only a Medical Toxicologist would require Medical School and Residency which can be in a variety of fields.

https://www.toxicology.org/careers/toxicologist/becomeTox.asp say that with BS degree your could become a Toxicologist and work in labs but many jobs will require a Master or PHD.
