kiah, I've worked in some type of social services my entire career. You need empathy, compassion, and a sense of passion to work well with your patients. That being said, the best part of working with patients is understanding that for that one day you gave it your all and hope you've helped make their lives a little better than the day before.

I am still a college student and I am studying to be a social worker. Through my Internship, the best part about being a social worker was being able to help those that really needed my help, especially the children that need me. I offered help to the parents so that they could keep their children, which was really nice when they went through with their duties.
