Jason Rowland’s Answer

Hello. Thank you for submitting your question. In order to become Laptop Engineer you would need to complete your B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) or B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) in Computer Science after completing your 2nd PUC/12th Standard (you should choose Physics, Math, Chemistry and Computer Science as your subjects). Once this is completed there is a course called A+ which will teach you the basics of hardware and parts inside a computer.

Sathish’s Answer

A tech support engineer aspirant should have knowledge on computer hardware and software. First go for computer hardware course where you can learn about basic hardware components of a computer, replacing parts, assembling a computer etc. next in software you have to go for a course to learn about operating systems. if you have enough budget, you can go for a Microsoft certified professional course.

If you want further advancement; one can also do hardware networking and MCSE certifications to master the subject. There are a lot of technical support professionals who has the knowledge but cant communicate effectively. Hence communication- written and verbal is very critical for a successful tech support professional

Mahtab’s Answer

The path I took to become the Application support engineer and move up and work for the company I love, was to get my degree in Computer Science, it could be a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science. Then getting your foot in the door is the main part as then, the company will train you in most of the things you would need to support the product. So being a fast learner, curious, patiant and having perseverance, it is a great job with a great stability when you are good at what you do.
