I’m thinking of taking an interest in interior design but i didn’t do any arty subjects for gcse so i can’t do them for a level. Would this affect universities accepting me?

I can effect you if you are going for for specialized schools. If you aren't already spending some level of free time drawing and making concepts you should. Have a platform of art to be able to show any school that may ask.

My wife went to school for graphic design and while she didn't do anything artistic in her early school days, she had a small portfolio of projects she did for fun that 100% helped her get in.
