Hi there

You need a bachelor degree in accounting and then obtain a professional accounting qualification such as CA in the country where you would like to practice or ACA, ACCA (in the UK) or CPA in the US. This will allow you to become chartered accountant and act as a fiancial auditor for companies.

Muhammad’s Answer

You need to get bachelors degree in accounting, like B.Com as a starter (you can get directly into CA studies directly after your high school but it gonna be a little more effort from your side.

Muhammad recommends the following next steps:

Then you need to get enrolled with CA body for your respective country and complete basic pre-training modules / semesters. (in most cases 2 years if you pass all in 1st attempt)
Then you need to get enrolled in any professional services firm (better choice from learning perspective) or industry (better choice from earning perspective (if allowed by your respective CA body)), and complete advance study modules along with training. This can be of 3.5 or 4 years depending on different countries.
The sooner you qualify (pass all exams) the better, but if you are not able to do so, just keep trying with more dedication. It is difficult but definitely achievable.
Good Luck

Hi - You need to obtain a bachelor's degree in any discipline/topic as far as I am aware firstly. Then you need to obtain a graduate role with a chartered accountancy company who can sponsor you. You need to get relevant experience over approx 3 years as well as taking a number of exams. The exams are set by the relevant chartered accountants body in a specific country eg Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) is the institute in the UK. Usually the firm will provide both the experience and sponsor you for the exams also. After you have completed this period and passed all the exams you can be a chartered accountant.

Ahsan’s Answer

You need to understand the nature of this field first. The academic phase requires patience and consistency in efforts in order to pass all exams no matter which body you're planning to get registered with. The practical work is actually requiring the same patience and flexibility to meet new people and adjusting to new environments every now and then. It works much better in the future if you're an extrovert and a hard worker.

What is a typical work of a chartered accountant? In simple terms, you are required to ensure that the accounting done by an organization is appropriately done, so you'll be dealing with numbers, people from finance, valuation experts, senior management of organizations, multiple teams within your firm etc. Once you get into the field, you understand that you can diversify your self to related fields/jobs such as working for organizations in the shoes of those people whose work auditors check like mentioned above.
