One thing you must understand is when I first joined the police 20+ years ago, it was an admirable profession. You had a take a test and if you passed, you would get a call back and go through a very long interview process that took several months. Once you are hired you go through the police academy. The hours are long and sometimes chaotic. Police officers do not get paid as well as they should for the amount of stress they go through but my favorite part of all of it is the people I worked with and the pride I feel being a police officer.

My favorite part of being a Police Officer is I have helped hundreds of people in many different capacities. In order to succeed in Law Enforcement, you have to have a genuine desire to help regardless of what a person may be facing.
