Is it wise to change my major after studying for two years at the university?

Hi all! I am a student studying on the field about language. Recently, I have found out that I am not really enjoy on the things that I am studying. Would it be a good option for me to change my major? I feel like more interested on other things like media and photography instead of literature. However, I am worrying that the change of my major would cause me to defer my graduation which would cost me a huge sum of money. #journalism

Ask yourself...if you are unhappy with your current degree program and future employment prospects now are you prepared for a lifetime of unhappiness? I would urge you to make a list (pro/con) of the current career path you are on, then do the same for other career paths you are considering. In the end, the time you have invested in your education is never a waste, just a life learning experience.

Hello. This is, of course, a personal and financial decision that you must weigh out carefully. I can tell you a bit about my personal experience: I decided halfway through my degree that it wasn't what I wanted to do but decided to go ahead and finish it. I then started working in that field and was almost immediately unhappy with my choice, wishing I had switched majors. I ended up going to graduate school for an entirely different major, which also cost a lot of money. If money were not an issue, I'd say switch your major as soon as you can! If there is no way to make it financially feasible, perhaps you don't. But the thing about money is that you have your whole life to make money. You'll only do your bachelor's degree once. You can probably make up the difference in money in just a few years. Do what makes you happy. You can't put a price on that.

Understand that it is really a dilemma here. This is a very difficult decision and have to be prudent.
Firstly, I have a few questions for you :
1. What career you would like to pursue?
2. Is it relevant to the major you are taking now?
3. If Q2 is no, what major you need to change? Is there any subject(s) you can apply for exemption?
In fact, you can still pursue the career whereas you may not require to be graduated from the corresponding subject from the college unless professional qualification is required, e.g. Legal, Accounting, Medical, Engineering, etc.
You may better decide your future career first before making the change. Alternatively, would it be possible to take the relevant subjects are the minor? It is also worthwhile for your to explore.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
