Do medical researchers need to go to medical school?

I am interested in medical research but I am not sure that I want to become a doctor or attend medical school. #medicine

Not necessarily. tI primarily depends on what type of research you are interested in. If your research interest are clinically based, i.e., directly related to the clinical application of patient care to a patient, then I would suggest you go to medical school. If however, your research interest are molecular or biochemical based then not necessarily. What I would suggest you do is to visit a cancer research center, such as Fels Institute for Cancer Research or other highly regarded centers and talk with the researchers.
