Hi Tobiloba! Thank you for your question. You can start looking for scholarships at any time. Scholarship deadlines vary. If you have selected a college already, view their financial aid page to apply for institutional scholarships. Also, scholarship sites like cappex.com and fastweb.com are good scholarship starting points. I hope this helps.

The best time to apply for scholarships is before the semester starts. Usually Teaching assistant positions and Research assistant positions in universities are filled before the semester starts and are coupled with scholarships or tuition fee waivers.
Another good way to get scholarships is to search alumni funded programs. Resident assistant programs are available for students who are not loc to the campus and save a lot in stay and food.

Each school has its own unique approach to handling scholarships, so it's essential to familiarize yourself with the process at the institution you're applying to. Make sure to visit the school's website and look up the scholarship deadline for the upcoming year. By doing this, you'll have ample time to get ready for the deadline and increase your chances of being considered for the scholarship.

Keep in mind that, while graduate schools may not offer many scholarship opportunities for graduate students, they do provide fellowships and assistantships. The application process for these graduate-level financial aids follows similar procedures as undergraduate scholarships. Stay positive and proactive in your pursuit of funding for your education!
