Congratulations on your career field which offers lots of opportunities. San Jose University's Department of Justice Studies offers internship for students interested in criminology. This will give you the opportunity to work with local law enforcement agencies, courts, and nonprofits. Contact your program director/department head for more information and assistance. There are several organizations and agencies in your area: San Jose Police Department provides hands-on experience in various aspects of police work, such as patrol, investigations, and community outreach. Santa Clara County District Attorney's office offers opportunities to assist attorneys with legal research, case preparation, and court appearances. Bay Area Legal Aid provides legal assistance to low-income individuals and families. Santa Clara County Probation Department allows interns to work with probation officers to supervise juvenile offenders and help develop rehabilitation programs and plans. Please do your research and reach out to department of criminology, professors of criminology, and professional who are working in this career field for additional resources and opportunities. I wish you great success.

Usually, your school's team can help you find available internships, making it a simple process where you choose your desired placement and get selected. Reach out to your program director or guidance counselor for support. Additionally, think about job shadowing and search for local businesses in careers that interest you, then ask if you can observe their work.
