How do I become successful in life like my parents and siblings, without going down the same path they went down?

My parents and siblings all went down the marketing path and have successful jobs and companies. I am leaning towards other things but feel like I can’t be successful in life if I don’t follow what they all did.

This is a great question! The only thing I would recommend is to follow and fully concentrate on what makes you happy, and what personally you think would enjoy 20 years from now. I know for many that this is a hard topic. Many look for a career that will earn them the most money, when in actuality, it may not make them happy. If what you do and love go hand-in-hand, then that is all that should matter.

It can be hard, especially in this case, when your loved ones and family members have a such great careers. However, you should not compare yourself to them as you are your own being and individual. If you would like to do art or make pottery and that's what makes you happy, then you should go head into heels and follow that dream! As said before, you are your own being and no one can persuade you to do something that you do not want to follow or do!

The first thing you do is stop comparing yourself to them. You are unique and brilliant in your own way and you have talents they don't have. Tap into what makes you great and what makes you special and make a name for yourself. When you are compared, let it be as part of a very successful family of people who found their passions, stayed in their lanes and took their skills and efforts to the next level. I also tell my students that it all begins with believing in yourself and working hard. If you want to be the best (fill in the blank), you must put the time in and stand out in such a way that others recognize your talents. You must first start with going all in on what you are good/great at and keep taking it up a level. You will be what you believe you can be!
