What is Hairdressers, Hairstylists, and Cosmetologists like?
Hello my name is Stephanie I’m in middle school and I live in Yuma,Arizona.I’m interested in Hairdressers, Hairstylists, and Cosmetologists.I wanna know much money is made per year? and how long do you have to go to school to get a degree in Hairdressers, Hairstylists, and Cosmetologists.

Depending on what state you live the schooling required fluctuates as far as hours needed for licensing. Check your states department of professional licensing web page to see exactly what your state requirements are.
As far as yearly income most stylist/Cosmetologist behind the chair just starting base around $30,000-$35,000. However really there's no limit as to amount you can make. Elevated salary depends on which avenue you want to follow. Do you want to focus solely on color, do you want to teach, or platform artistry, fashion/ hair shows, movies/TV, booth rent, salon ownership? There's so many ways you can utilize your license once your finished with school.
Visit all schools around you, find the one you are most inspired and excited about, that's where you should train. Once you've graduated, tested and passed your licensing exams find a mentor. Either apprentice or work closely with someone who has industry experience. Then choose your path of creativity.
