I am a senior and I am trying hard to keep my grades up. What is a way to get over senioritis. I am lacking the effort to care or do my work. I haven’t fully lost my effort, but it is slipping more and more each day. How can this be fixed?

Ah, good ol' senioritis. I know for a fact that you are not alone. I think what helped me get through my own seniorities many years ago (and again recently through college) was 2 things:

  1. Focusing on the end goal. Remember what you're about to accomplish and how huge of a stepping stone it is in your life. While some tell you that your last quarter high school grades don't matter if you're already accepted to college, they do. Colleges pay a lot of attention to what you're doing to finish up high school. Think about how sweet it'll be when you're finally done and you can look back and say "I did that and I succeeded."
  2. Stick by your friends' sides. I'm sure you have other senior friends going through the same exact thing. Get together after school and do homework or study together. Sometimes having someone experiencing the same feelings as you makes it all the more easy to succeed.

It's almost the end of March - only two full months left and probably a little bit of June (if your high school is like mine) and it's over!
