What would be some good tips if I'm majoring in culinary arts?

I've always dreamed of being a chef, a great one at that. I would love to learn everything there is to know about the culinary world. #chefdreams #futuregordonramsey

Have you ever looked in to where Chef Ramsey came from?

Not just Scotland, but his roots in the kitchen. Marco Pierre White. Look up that name. See the intensity and love for the craft.

Tips:
1. Be humble
2. Get good knives, know how to use them properly, know how to sharpen and take care of them yourself
3. Be cognizant of your Mental and Physical well being
4. Learn Everything: Technique, flavor profiles, ethnic food types, dietary restrictions, everyone else's job on the line
5. Buy books: Cookbooks, food science, learn about eggs, cultures in food, cook dictionaries
6. Always be early. Chef Saying... "If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. If you're late, you're *bleeped*".
7. Familiarized yourself with kitchen lingo, and equipment.
8. Go through the process of getting a Servsafe Certification not just a Food Handlers permit. Be the person who offers more.
9. Work, work very hard, work very smart.
10. Drink lots of coffee or tea, stay awake and alert at all times, you never know what you might miss.
