Bret’s Answer

Hello Nathaniel,

You've asked a fantastic question! I'm incredibly lucky to be part of a company that encourages exploration across various departments and channels. This unique opportunity equips me with a diverse set of tools and skills, which I can then leverage in different roles within the organization. I find immense joy in both the marketing and customer service aspects of the business. They not only shed light on how the company builds its brand, but also add a human touch to the process. Ultimately, I aspire to become a Director of Sales or Operations - a goal I'm passionately working towards.

JESSICA’s Answer

As previously stated, almost all careers start from entry-level roles. To advance, I recommend continuously building your network by connecting with colleagues. It's also crucial to consistently strive for growth and learning within your current role, your company, and the role you aspire to achieve.

Paul’s Answer

Nathaniel,

There are a lot of career paths available in customer service. Most people, like myself, start in entry level roles. For example, I starting taking calls at a contact center which taught me soft skills, patience, and organization. From there a lot of different directions became available such as leadership roles (supervisors and managers), data analytics, training, quality analysis, and more! I chose the leadership path and eventually had opportunities to lead global contact centers with over 1,000 employees. I plan to continue pursuing leadership roles in the customer service space so I can coach, mentor, and develop new leaders.
