A website called Niche has a list of community colleges in New York for art; the first results are CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College, SUNY Suffolk County Community College, CUNY LaGuardia Community College, SUNY Nassau Community College, etc. If you want to look at the rest of the list, here is the link: https://www.niche.com/colleges/search/best-colleges-for-art/s/new-york/?type=communityCollege.
I also found another list on a website called Intelligent that lists the best community colleges in New York; some might be on the previous list that I linked to you, but if not, possibly they are worth looking into to see if it's something worth pursuing. The best community college is the one that fits your needs the best, and finding that community college will take some effort on your part. Keep in mind that "the best" school may not be the "best" school for you. So, it is worth it to make the effort and take the time to investigate.
If you are still in high school, talk to your guidance counselor and art teachers about local community colleges that offer art classes. See what they suggest. If you are not still in high school, then go to your local library and ask the librarians for help; usually libraries have sections about schools and education. Go online and check out community colleges near your home, or where you would like live. Most community colleges have some sort of art classes, so check them out online to see if they offer art classes you are interested in. You also want to check out admissions requirements, costs, financial aid, and the commute.
