From my personal interactions with pediatricians, I would say that having the ability to make others laugh is a good quality to have. As a doctor it all depends on your patient. Some may prefer you be more serious while others may prefer you be more funny. However, many kids will appreciate your ability to make them laugh. Laughing will make them feel more at ease in what they consider a scary environment.
