if you stay true to yourself, that will make your parents proud. Do what makes you happy and believe me they will be happy and proud of you. As a parent, it is such a great feeling seeing your children pleased and joyful.

I want you to know, that what makes you proud of you SHOULD also make your parents proud. If not, it will make other people proud. You will hear your own voice whisper interest in things from time to time, follow those interest, see where they go. Get really into whatever it is you're into! Even if you try something, and it doesn't stick, you'll have a greater skill set for the next thing. Say you try a million things and you never get great at anything, you know that's okay, I would say you got really great at trying things then. Further more if you were my kid, and you kept at learning and growing, then you're a success. Cause the only way to fail is to give up on trying things.

Hi Ethel. It's kiamesha. Nice to meet you. I understand why you would want to make your parents proud. That's very nice of you.
You asked how you could find ways to be successful. What do you mean specifically? Successful in your career? Life? In relationships? If you're not sure, figure this out first. Then make a plan of your wants and needs. Maybe include what your parent's wishes are and find a compromise. Good luck

When it comes to my kids, I don't need them to be perfect, but I want to see they are putting in effort. Are you doing your best with classes? Are you participating in clubs or sports (anything to stay out of trouble :)). I know some parents can be pretty demanding, but I think it all ultimately boils down to wanting our kids to be better off than we were.

Keep improving yourself and don't be afraid to go after what you want in life. That should make your parents proud.
