Where can I find grants that can be used even if I'm going to school out of state?

For example, I live in Michigan and most Michigan grants I find can only be used on Michigan schools... But I'm going to school in Indiana and really need some financial aid assistance! #FinancialAid

I was from IL but went to school in IN. I received an academic scholarship, a Federal Grant, Student Loans and participated in a work-study. Also, more recently, a friend’s daughter lives in IL but is going to Purdue. She receives aid directly from Pudue.

Maryann recommends the following next steps:

Check with your desired or chosen school(s)’ Bursars Office and ask that they elaborate on that school’s
Ask the Bursar(s) for help with other sources of financial aid.
