What subject teacheables of teachers are in the rise for hiring in the education system?

I am a senior in High School, I am looking into pursuing music education. If my plans do not go well at first, I will pursue a major in English. My guidance counsellor and other teachers have told me French is one of the easiest ways to get hired into a school board system - in Canada specifically. Since, it is one of our official and mandatory classes. I might decide to minor in French, and see how it goes. I'm not sure how much I want to do French. I do enjoy the language and I love it. It's just a matter of teaching it to kids who either don't care or do on a secondary level or not. Regardless, what seems more of a compact teacher?
