<p>I am one of those few who got the career before the degree. I spent 6 years in the Navy, 4.5 of those on a submarine. I am now a facilities technician for Google and work at one of their data centers, focusing on power and cooling infrastructure controls. If you have questions about the Navy or Google, hit me up. I also spent a year as a special education para-professional and can possibly shed some light on education, though I worked for a charter school so my experience was probably not the norm. </p>
