About
I work as a teacher at a software company called Elastic. Elastic's products help companies like Blizzard Entertainment keep an eye on their users' network traffic, the New York Times create a search bar to query over all their articles since 1851, and NASA analyze data collected from Mars. I have a PhD in mathematics from Berlin, Germany. I have previously worked at the University of California, Davis as an assistant professor, at the Technical University of Berlin as a research associate, at Wolfram Research as an intern in kernel development. I've been working since I was in high school and put myself through college in a variety of jobs including as an assistant editor at publishing company, as a paralegal or legal secretary for a corporate litigation lawyer, restocking clothes at a retail store, as a cashier at a grocery store, and all sorts of tutoring. I am originally from New York City. I lived in Berlin, Germany for 7 years for my graduate studies. Today I live in Silicon Valley in California, USA with my family.
