Brandon Lee

I graduated from UCSB in 2016 with a B.A. in Political Science & Educational Studies. Soon thereafter, I started tutoring and lecturing at local afterschools and Preparatory Academies as I laid the groundworks for a local political campaign. After mobilizing youth, securing financial and political backings, and reaching out to several local entities and community spaces, I was able to garner enough votes to secure a seat on the Crescenta Valley Town Council, becoming its youngest-ever regular Member. Now, I see life through so many lenses concurrently that it almost seems surreal. As a political figure, as a racial discussions advocate, as an aspiring educator, as a professional tutor and private lecturer, as a graduate student at USC, and, of course, as a twenty-four year old who, like many of you, can be daunted by the weight of the world that lies ahead. But, I want to be here for you all when things do seem uncertain. In short, I’ll do my best to empathize with your positions—as I’ve been there not so long ago—and, more pressingly, I’ll do my best to try to provide you with tangible, real answers that might actually help you through those times, as they did for me.
