Alright, Hey Jenesis! Well, now plotting your money-making empire before you even hit high school. Respect 🫡.

Okay, first things first — you're 12 but that doesn’t mean you can't start making some real cash. It just means you've gotta get a little creative. The world’s not handing out office jobs to middle schoolers, but there’s still so many ways to stack that paper without breaking any rules or messing with school.

Here's your Official Baby Boss Money-Making 🤔..... Way! 🔥Uhum!

1. Babysitting
If you're good with little kids, parents will PAY you just to keep them alive and entertained for a couple of hours. Since you're still young, you can start by watching kids while the parents are home or working from home. It's basically playing games, making snacks, and getting paid for it. Ask your family, neighbors, or friends if they know anyone who needs a "Mother's Helper." That's the fancy name for babysitting while the parents are still around.

2. Pet Sitting + Dog Walking (or can say Paw Patrol Leader).
So, If you're more into dogs than diapers, this one's for you. People love their pets like family — and they will pay you just to walk their dogs or check in on their cats when they're out. Even if it's just feeding them and throwing a ball around for 30 minutes, that's easy money. You could even make cute little "Dog Walking Services" flyers and drop them in mailboxes around your neighborhood.

3. Plant Watering + Trash Duty! If you got Rich neighbors with nice gardens, we'll know that They hate watering plants and taking out trash bins. (most do believe me unless they got that on duty guy!). Alright so, That’s where you come in. Offer to water plants while they’re on vacation or wheel out the bins on trash day. It sounds boring, but if you're doing that for 4 or 5 houses every week? 💸

4. Online Surveys! 👀 Alright, this one won't make you a millionaire, but it's the easiest money you'll ever make. Websites like Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, or KidzEyes let kids as young as 13 sign up with parent permission. You literally just answer questions and get paid. It’s like getting money just for having opinions. 🤔Though 12....maybe you will hit 13 soon🤪.... Just check out if they accept still worth it!

5. Selling Crafts (The Etsy Queen) If you're into making friendship bracelets, slime, or art — you can 1000% sell that stuff online or around school. Trust me as a kid this things really sell.... Unique styles even if you ain't a pro or good artist you can literally do smth. Now even if you're not Picasso, you can make digital phone wallpapers on Canva or custom playlists and sell them on Etsy. People LOVE handmade stuff.

6. Tech Helper
Every family has that one kid who knows how to fix Wi-Fi, set up Netflix, or show Grandma how to use Instagram. If that's you then, congratulations, you're officially the family tech support. Charge $5-$10 just to set up apps, fix phones, or connect Bluetooth speakers. 🤔 My brother would do this in his school when he was 12 and students offered a lot more too!

7. Homework Helper!!! ✨ Jenesis, if you're good at math or writing, you can help younger kids with homework after school. Parents will pay you just to help their kids understand their times tables or finish book reports. It’s basically getting paid to be smart and you might end up making even a monthly contract payment which would pay you even more, if the parents really are satisfied. Plus, you learn while you teahh better, believe me!

8. Yard Work! Pulling weeds, sweeping leaves, watering plants, the jobs nobody wants to do. If you knock on doors offering to tidy up yards for a few bucks, you'll have half the street begging to hire you.

9. Virtual Assistant for Small Businesses. Okay, this one is next level but totally possible. Some small businesses need help replying to Instagram messages, organizing photos, or typing up simple lists. Ask local businesses if they need help with little tasks they don't have time for, especially if they know you're reliable.

10. Custom Gift Baskets alright so You know those fancy little gift baskets people buy with snacks and self-care stuff? You could totally make your own and sell them to family, friends, or even teachers. Buy snacks, stickers, or cute notebooks from the dollar store, wrap it up all nice, and BOOM— you're officially in business.

Now here is the REAL secret to making money at your age:🤔

It’s not about the job — it's about how you show up.
People will pay a kid who's polite, shows up on time, and actually does a good job way more than some grown-up who's lazy.🤫

You’re already built different for even asking this question — so I already know you’re about to have the whole neighborhood calling you like “Hey, is Jenesis available to watch my kid/walk my dog/make me a friendship bracelet?”😅

Just—Start small. Tell everyone you're starting your own little business. Make some flyers. Ask your family to spread the word. And whatever you do — never work for free (unless you're helping Grandma... she gets the family discount 😏). Or volunteering.. Sure!

And girl, By the time you're 15, you'll be running the whole block. Now go out there and build that Baby Boss Empire. I'm rooting for you, CEO Jenesis 😎 ALL THE BEST! 🤗

Dr recommends the following next steps:

Jenisis, you're basically a superhero-in-training. The trick is to become the go-to person in your neighborhood for all the little jobs people don't wanna do themselves. . What can you help with? . Watering plants 💦 . Organizing closets (people hate that stuff) 🧹 . Cleaning out garages . Carrying groceries for neighbors . Running little errands . Tech help (setting up phones, apps, or teaching grandparents how to use TikTok 😂📱) . Write down a list of everything you know how to do and tell your neighbors you're starting your own mini business. You can even Call it something cool like "Jenesis to the Rescue!" or "Rent-a-Jen!"🙌 You don't need a website or anything fancy — just your charm, good work, and word will spread like wildfire. Start with one small job, and before you know it..CHA-CHING🤪.

Hello, Genesis !

At age 12, in your state of Texas, you would need to be 14 in order to start working. In Texas, people aged 14 - 17 can obtain a Certificate of Age from the Texas Workforce Commission but your employer would have to request it. They do not have Work Permits or Working Papers in Texas.

Before you look for work at age 12, you will have to look for jobs that you can do and it may not necessarily help you for other people to list job positions that you may not know how to do or have experience in. Assess your interests and qualifications because you will want to work with something that you enjoy, not just anything that's out there. When you turn 14, you will be eligible to receive employment services from Summer Youth Employment Program — Youth Opportunities Unlimited in Forney and the Summer Earn and Learn Program.

If it's that you want some money right now, you can do garage sales/tag sales on the weekends. Sell used items that your family doesn't want anymore. You can set up the sale, assign a price to each item and hang up flyers and posters around where you live to let people know where the tag sale or yard sale is being held. It is something that you can be totally in charge of and have some extra spending money for your efforts.

Whatever you do freelance, make sure you know how to do it and that you get the word out so you'll have lots of customers. And make sure it's something you like to do, not just something for the money.

Best wishes in all you do !
