Michael’s Answer

Hi Devyn,

Most institutions of higher learning do a great job of preparing you for your career. Once you decide what sort of career you would be interested in pursuing, Google rankings of schools in that field. Shoot for those. But, colleges will assign you an adviser once you join. Share your goals with them, your professors and your classmates. Collectively you will have proper guidance to enter the workforce. Once you start approaching graduation, I would highly recommend you intern for a company in your field to go ahead and begin your real world experience. I hope this helps!

Thanks,

Mike

Andrew’s Answer

You should lean on your career development center at your college to share with you data on what alums who study "x" are doing / making in terms of compensation. They can also help connect you to willing alums who want to advise students

Andrew recommends the following next steps:

Reach out to your university's career development center and ask them for data on what alums are doing who studied "x" or "y"
