What was the most benefical way for you to network before staring your career or finishing school?
I am in my third year of a 3+3 physical therapy track. I have previously done observation hours at two places, but other than that have little networking experience. I will be doing clinical over the summer and during the school year, and I want to know if there are other ways to network or if that is enough to get started.

Your on the right track by asking this networking question ! Most people don't realize or realize too late the importance of networking. I think one of the best networking tools out there is LinkedIn. If you don't already have a profile, create one and get on LinkedIn. Don't be shy in reaching out to people in careers that you are interested in. Most people on LinkedIn are happy to connect and share experiences and even open positions they might have.
Another way to network is find face to face networking sessions that are held. This is another way to get your name out there and get to know others.
Whatever method you choose, don't be shy about networking. Networking is definitely a skill that all of us to master. Keep at it and practice. It will serve you well in the long run !
