For me I was a B-C merit role student in high school for just showing up and doing the work; I didn't really study; I didn't really know how to study. When I went to college, I was then a C-D nursing student (A-B extracurricular student)... So not best grades where it counted :( so I failed 3rd semester and even did worse second time ... So I learned to get help thanks to my director of the program. Little late but better then never. I thought tutors were a weakness. Come to find out there were free tutors at our college too through library and another teacher would hold big sessions.... I'm now much better for asking for help. Encourage others of same advise! Ask for help,! Don't wait til failing.
Go community college for whole program or pre-requisites. Save $$$
Ask right away in orientation if there is help/tutors
Schedule study time/time in library into your schedule right swayy
Tape record lectures if you are allowed to listen there and back from school if you have a commute. Cement info in your brain
Link up with classmates to study too. Support is key in the program
