"How has college helped you take meaningful steps toward your dream career, and what experiences made the biggest impact in advancing your journey" ?

I am a senior in high school who recently accepted admission into UC Berkely. I want to pursue a career in bio-engineering, and wondering how it is that I can further my studies and propel me faster into my desired career, quickly and effectively.

Hey there, this is a great Question. While I am not an expert, nor did I pursue a scientific career my advice would be to immerse yourself in as many experiences as you can while you have the time and you have access to the resources. Going to UC Berkeley, which is an amazing school, they have plenty of student resources, clubs, and groups where you can discover new opportunities to network build new skills and understand what you really care about. I think taking on new experiences regardless of if you think they’ll be applicable or not, is always a great opportunity to continue your learning and discover new things about yourself. Also, good luck. Congrats on getting in to Berkeley.
