That’s not uncommon. Frankly, people change majors at least three times while they’re in school. I didn’t change my major, but I realized my junior year that an agency environment was not the environment that would allow me to be at my best. You have to decide what’s the optimal work environment for you and decide whether your current major supports where you wanna go and who you are as an individual. You wanna look for occupations as well as majors that you have a passion foreign you have a natural ability to succeed. In that way, it’s less work and more of a career.

Hi Lynden,
It's really normal for people to change their careers. Sometimes a job sounds great in theory, but the reality can be different. I went to law school but eventually found my path in human resources.
I suggest you dive deep into researching the career you're interested in. It's important to know the difference between a hobby and a career. Connecting with alumni groups in your area of interest can be really helpful. While it won't give you all the answers, it will offer a glimpse into the actual work and environment, helping you figure things out.
It's also a good idea to explore at least two career options. This way, you'll have choices, and you won't feel stuck if your first choice doesn't seem right after your research.
I hope this encourages you!
