How does one go about getting volunteer and clinical hours especially since professionals don't want to give opportunities to you? #Spring25?
I am a sophomore in college going in to my junior year.

During your clinical rotations, you'll gain some experience. I suggest contacting your college faculty, local hospitals, and the in-house pharmacy to check if they have any volunteer opportunities available.

Your local hospitals should have a volunteer department that you could always contact for volunteer work. Clinical hours usually don't happen until you are on your last two semesters of your degree just because most places want to know you have had some educational background before you get into the work. But you could always do a job shadow. Or you could always reach out to your PCP to see if you could get some clinical hours, or job shadow.

Have you considered looking for work as an EMT? Another opportunity is to explore outpatient health care centers where you have interaction with patients without requiring a clinical background.
