How can you deal with imposter-syndrome within Forestry?
I like being outdoors but I don't have the experience my classmates do, and I feel behind. I feel like there are things I've been expected to know, and my classmates know these things, and I'm struggling to not feel inadequate because of this. Any tips?

Imposter syndrome is something people face in every kind of job. The best way to learn is by asking questions. I promise that some of the questions you ask, others won’t know the answers to either. No one will look down on you for asking. It shows that even if you don’t know all the answers, you really want to learn, and that’s incredibly important.

Anne,
The imposter syndrome is a common experience for lots of people, so I hope you can be kind to yourself when you feel the effects. Let me share an article on how to manage imposter syndrome. The article was written for mental health professionals, but I think most of the information will ring true to you. Plus, knowing that even mental health professionals are not free from imposter syndrome should give you a different perspective than you've had so far.
