Hello Azzy. You can research on social platforms and try to reach out to budding small time authors who needs help with managing their media presence or drafting emails to publishers and even responding to emails. This can give you a start in writing job.
Regarding IT jobs, there are platforms which provides freelance gigs with a decent pay. You can lookup online and secure a role and build from there.
Good luck.

Hi Azzy! I reached out to my local newspaper and asked them if I could write for them as a contractor and freelancer. It worked for me and I'm going two years strong as a side hustle. I did it my Senior and Junior year of college too. Would highly recommend for writing gigs.

Azzy,
Go where people need writers, local media, libraries, schools, non-profits.
Prepare some samples to share and a short statement of your goals and talents.
If you don't succeed, ask the folks you are talking with if they could recommend places to go, people to ask.
Be kind, patient, enthusiastic and appreciative.
At the same time, online opportunities are available - to get your name and talents out there. Respond to others' posts, start your own, begin posting regularly, study other writers and how they got their start.
