Hello! Embarking on the journey to graduate school is an exciting adventure. While the application process can take a few months to a year depending on the program, it's a chance to dive deep into a field you love. If you're thinking about applying directly to a Ph.D. program after your undergrad, having research experience in your area of interest is key. Remember, a Ph.D. can take 5-7 years, but it's a rewarding path with many programs offering stipends, so you won't have to worry about full tuition costs. You'll likely need 2-3 recommendation letters from mentors or professors who know your work well. Some programs may ask for GRE scores and additional questions, like essays about your interests. Skipping a master's to go straight to a Ph.D. is challenging but definitely possible. Explore different schools and programs to find the best fit for you and consider finding a mentor to guide you. You've got this, and I hope this information helps you on your journey!
