The automotive industry offers many career paths. You can work at a dealership, in manufacturing, or in a corporate setting. If you like VR and technology, consider corporate jobs that blend cars and tech. I worked at a digital marketing agency for car dealerships, where roles included sales, social media marketing, ecommerce, and digital strategy. Once you start, there are plenty of chances to explore different positions and learn new skills.

Good Day Rudy! Let's get the Cons out of the way first! As Matthew said, the work hours are usually long. The average wage is $26.55 an hour. There is much bending, lying, and standing. There can be strange postures, for instance when fitting brakes, or repairing tail-shafts. This can lead to chronic back pain. This can be alleviated by stretching exercises, which you can get from a physiotherapist. Sometimes there may be a bit of dread for certain repair jobs which are quite complex and involved, usually requiring the assistance of an intelligent technician. One case in point would be a 4 Wheel-Drive gearbox repair! Let us look at the Pros! You will be granted plenty of autonomy as you progress up from apprentice! That way you can designate a manageable work timetable. You are a specialist, and you shall develop your own techniques to deal with complex problems! If you are involved with research for institutions like NASCAR, the work can be far more rewarding in both achievement and pay!
GOD BLESS!

Matthew’s Answer

The pros and cons can differ depending on the company and department. In engineering, where I work, the hours can be long. The automotive industry has been a bit unpredictable, especially in recent years. However, it's always fast-paced, which I really enjoy. Plus, I get to solve complex problems regularly, which is exciting.
Thank you comment icon Thank you so much for answering, I did not know about the fast paced working, but that seems exciting, and entertaining. I also like to solve complex problems a lot so it should be exciting for me to learn. So thank you again a lot for answering my question i appreciate it. Rudy
