I once had a job I really liked, but it didn't pay enough for a secure life. After seeing how people find real happiness, I thought hard for two weeks and decided to become an electrician. I set this goal, wrote it down, and went after it with determination.

There are many reasons to change jobs. My reasons vary based on the job I had. My first job change came when I was a claims manager for an insurance company. One of my clients /customer approached me to work directly with their company to create an inhouse claims department. While I really enjoyed my current job at the time, I was very interested in learning more about Risk Management and there was also a significant raise involved.
I have known folks who have changed jobs because their then present position was not allowing them to advance further in their career. Others I know have left jobs because the overall environment was not conducive to their overall happiness.
As you can see, there are many reasons for people to leave jobs for others. the one thing I would always keep in mind is that if you do leave a job, make sure you properly resign with a formal letter. Continue to give your best until your last day. You never know if some day in the future, you may need a job due to a lay off or downsizing of a company. You may need to rely on your prior company for another job.
