It's wonderful that you're getting ready for this! Feeling comfortable and confident is really important. Try to arrange 15-minute practice interviews with family friends who have experience in their jobs. This will help you get used to answering questions and speaking with confidence. You can also find apps or websites that offer mock interviews. Keep practicing, and you'll become more confident and at ease!

Practicing potential questions & answers truly makes a difference in how comfortable and confident you will feel during an interview! It may feel awkward at first to practice with yourself or with others. One way you can prepare is by researching potential questions that focus on soft skills - your communication style, how you teamwork, solving problems - and then researching potential questions specific to that position and/or company. Write out all the questions, and draft different ways you can respond - the STAR method is a helpful framework for answering questions while highlighting your skills. STAR - Situation (provide a little bit of background), Task (what was the challenge you were facing?), Action (what steps you took and how you took them), and Result (share the outcome and impact of the Action you took). Keep it short, be specific, and try to relate it to the position you are interviewing for. This can be hard to do on-the-spot, so preparing some scenarios in advance and practicing how to respond will make a difference and will demonstrate your capabilities!

Hello,
I highly recommend visiting your school's career hub or meeting with a professor to get feedback on your resume. Once you're happy with it, work on creating an elevator speech. This is a short introduction for career fairs or interviews, lasting about 30 seconds to a minute. Use it to highlight what makes you unique, including your achievements and personal interests. Think about what passions drive you and mention any hobbies or sports that make you stand out. Also, be ready to talk about your school projects and your goals for the next five years. Practicing in front of a mirror or with a friend can really help boost your confidence. You've got this!
