Schools should definitely encourage using AI because it's a popular technology and will be part of many future jobs. However, some schools are still figuring out how to start using it.
In the workplace, it varies. Some companies with sensitive data don't use external AI for security reasons and might have their own systems or are developing them. But in many other companies, people use AI for different tasks like taking notes, writing emails, doing research, and analyzing data. Just be sure to follow your company's rules for using AI.
AI is still new, and many people are learning how to use it. It's important to remember that AI is just a tool to help organize and analyze information, and it won't take over human decision-making or creativity.
I'd suggest that you take prompting courses so when you use AI you make the most of it.

Hi Raquel - the short answer is, all the time! And it will only be used more and more in the next few years.
The key is knowing when and how to use it best, which is up to you to take ownership of. You should be very open about your use of AI, sometimes it will be super helpful, but other times it might actually send you down the wrong path and your school/workplace will be able to guide you on this.
Don't forget, AI is just a tool with pros & cons like any other (even if it looks particularly impressive right now) it's certainly not the answer to everything!

Following Alejandro's point, AI will definitely become a part of schools and workplaces, much like when computers and the internet first became widely used. There will be guidelines on how and when to use AI, but it will be integrated into our daily systems.
